History plays an important part of any business. Brady Martz has a rich history dating back to 1927 when Edward W. Brady opened his own accounting firm in Grand Forks, ND. A man named Baldwin Martz worked for Edward Brady for a period of time before moving to Minot, ND. Baldwin became a partner in Janz & Iverson in 1947. Years later, Baldwin and his wife, Shirley, opened the doors of Baldwin Martz & Associates.
Brady and Martz crossed paths again in 1981 when the two firms merged to create Brady Martz & Associates.
But, the growth didn’t stop there. In 1987, Brady Martz acquired the Moser Christenson office in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
In 1989, Brady and Martz realized another opportunity for expansion into Bismarck, ND and opened an office there. The growth continued in Bismarck with the acquisition of Orser Olsen & St. Peter in 1992.
In the fall of 2009, Brady Martz merged with Reichert Fisher of Williston and Dickinson.
Expansion came again in the fall of 2015 when Drees Riskey & Vallager merged with Brady Martz.
In October of 2019, Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co of Fargo joined Brady Martz.
Brady Martz now has locations in Bismarck, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot, ND as well as Crookston and Thief River Falls, MN.
Brady Martz’s long history in the region and progressive ways have established the Firm as a premiere accounting and consulting firm across North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota now employing 270 people including 41 Shareholders serving 20,000 clients.
