Amanda Scanson

A Minnesota native, Amanda currently lives in her hometown—East Grand Forks—with her husband and their eight-year-old identical twin daughters. When asked to describe what she likes about East Grand Forks, Amanda replied, “I love the community and how it provides my kids the opportunity to run and play with all the neighborhood friends.” Amanda’s daughters are a big part of her life—she loves to spend her free time reading and baking with them. Her other hobbies include cheering on the Minnesota Wild and listening to country music. If she could pick anywhere in the world to visit, Amanda would travel to Ireland.

Amanda graduated from college in December 2009 and immediately dove into her professional career. She joined the Brady Martz team and has served the firm ever since. These days, she works as a senior manager in the firm’s Audit Department. In this capacity, she performs governmental audits, provides business manager services to Minnesota school districts, and works with cities and housing authorities. She specializes in fund accounting and is the go-to person at Brady Martz for questions regarding governmental accounting.

When it comes to serving her clients, Amanda’s chief goals are simple: “Always do whatever I can to help.” This personal philosophy of service means that she is a reliable and helpful professional who always seeks to maximize the outcome for her clients. Amanda pursued an education in accounting on the advice of her father and ended up loving it. She credits her career success to a combination of determination and a solid work ethic.
