Brian Opsahl

Shareholder

Brian was born and raised in Rothsay, Minnesota, a small town with a population less than 500. Today, he lives in East Grand Forks, North Dakota with his wife, Tara, their three children, Kierra, Kyla, and Kolton, and their dog, Leia. Brian’s favorite thing about East Grand Forks is the wonderful people who live there. A true Minnesota native, his favorite teams are the Twins and the Vikings.

A member of the Brady Martz team since 2003, Brian has spent his entire professional career serving the firm. As a shareholder, he has a variety of responsibilities, including acting as the firm’s tribal and gaming industry lead and participating in governmental audits. His extensive experience includes performing audits of governments (housing, cities, school districts, and water districts), nonprofit housing, tribes, tribal entities, and casinos.

Brian’s clients and coworkers alike appreciate his always positive attitude. Staying positive is part of his personal philosophy of service—he seeks to treat each and every client with respect, attempt to meet all of their expectations, and always maintain a sunny outlook. Brian’s love for numbers is what inspired him to choose a career in accounting, and he credits his success in the field to his ability to be patient.
