Cory Kaufman

Shareholder

A North Dakota native, Cory grew up in Hettinger. He now lives in Grand Forks with his wife, Megan, their three sons, Caleb, Evan, and Dylan, and their dog. Cory enjoys Grand Forks because it offers big-city amenities but still has a small-town feel. Outside of the office, he can usually be found either attending his sons’ sporting events or simply playing sports with them. An avid sports fan, Cory’s favorite teams are the Chicago Cubs, the Green Bay Packers, and the UND hockey team. When he has the opportunity to travel, Cory loves to visit Hawaii and Disney World.

In 2004, Cory first joined Brady Martz, fresh out of college. He served the firm for two years before moving to Virginia, where he worked for Witt Mars (now PB Mares) for two years while simultaneously completing his graduate degree. Cory then spent two years working for the Wisconsin Legislative Fiscal Bureau, specializing in health care policy. In 2010, he began his second tenure with Brady Martz and has been with the firm ever since. Cory currently serves as a shareholder. He specializes in accounting and tax consulting for small and medium-sized businesses. In addition to general tax and accounting, Cory offers tax consulting, business valuation, and real estate services. Many of his clients are dealerships.

Cory chose to pursue a career in accounting because he enjoys the daily challenges that the field has to offer and loves having the opportunity to help his clients. He strives to be a good listener and always develop a strong grasp of his clients’ situations prior to taking action. Cory’s teammates appreciate that he is hard working, even keeled, and always willing to help.
