Raised on a grain farm near Ray, North Dakota, Megan currently resides in Minot with her husband, Brock, and their two children Kirie and Jack. Having grown up in a rural area, Megan appreciates Minot because it offers the amenities of a city while still maintaining a small-town feel. While Hawaii is the vacation destination that Megan dreams of most often, she truly cherishes summer weekends spent at the family cabin at Lake Metigoshe. Outside of the office, she likes to spend as much time as possible with her family and friends.
Megan started as an intern with Brady Martz in 2011 and has been with the firm ever since. In her capacity as a shareholder, she spends a good majority of her time in the Tax Department, performing tax planning and providing consulting services for small businesses and their owners. She works with clients in a variety of industries, including agribusiness, financial institutions, retail, and restaurants. Additionally, Megan works on audit engagements for employee benefit plans and financial institutions.
“Grit is that ‘extra something’ that separates the most successful people from the rest. It’s the passion, perseverance, and stamina that we must channel in order to stick with our dreams until they become a reality.” Megan’s favorite quote inspires her determination on the job. She is a team player who strives to develop positive relationships with her clients and provide them good experiences by offering efficient and accurate service. It is the way her parents raised her—they taught her that hard work was very important and set high expectations for her.
