Perry Mattson

Shareholder

Born and raised in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Perry loves that he lives in his hometown. Having grown up in the area, he has a deep appreciation for the history of the city. He and his wife, DeAnn, have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and two grandchildren. When he has the time, Perry enjoys traveling to Minneapolis to visit his grandchildren. His other hobbies include guitar, golf, and men’s league hockey.

Perry established his accounting career with a big four firm in Minneapolis in 1991, but a desire to raise his family back home in North Dakota led him to transition to Brady Martz in 1992. He has been with the firm ever since. He currently serves as a shareholder, sits on the firm’s board of directors, and oversees the Brady Martz wealth management practice. Perry focuses on financial life planning for business owners, including tax planning, transaction assistance, and estate planning. Perry describes himself as “a generalist with an emphasis in consulting.”

Proactive service is Perry’s priority. He strives to listen closely to his clients and then provide the best team service possible. Perry chose to pursue a career in accounting because he was interested in business and in developing a specific skill set. He credits his success in the field to the mentorship he received from Brady Martz and the great team members he has had the opportunity to work with along the way.
