Dave’s banking career began as a field examiner for the FDIC in 1990, where he developed a deep foundation in bank regulatory compliance. He later served as both a compliance officer and loan officer for a community bank before founding Banker’s Compliance Consulting in 1993. Alongside his talented team, Dave has authored numerous compliance articles for respected banking publications and developed compliance seminars that the firm produces and delivers nationwide.

A recognized expert in bank management and regulatory affairs, Dave is also a sought-after motivational speaker and innovative educator. His quick wit and humor have a way of turning what many consider a dry subject into an engaging and memorable experience. He has served as a faculty member at the American Bankers Association (ABA) National Compliance Schools and the Center for Financial Training for many years, and is a frequent speaker for numerous state banking associations and the ABA’s Regulatory Compliance Conference. Dave has delivered hundreds of webinars and was honored with the ABA’s Distinguished Service Award in 2016.
