While attending college, Matt completed two internships with Drees Riskey & Vallager (DRV) and subsequently joined the Firm full time upon graduating. In 2015, he joined Brady Martz via its merger with DRV and has been with the Firm ever since. Today, Matt serves as a Senior Manager in the Tax Department. He works with both individuals and businesses, with an emphasis on clients in the restaurant and bar industry. Additionally, he is experienced in working with international tax issues. Matt is the go-to person in the Grand Forks office assisting with and implementing new tax technology programs and efficiencies.

Raised in Fargo, North Dakota, Matt currently lives in Grand Forks. His work ethic is based on a phrase that his father often repeated to him when he was growing up: “The harder you work, the luckier you get.” Matt is a dependable team player who seeks to be responsive to his clients and complete jobs both accurately and in a timely fashion. He chose to pursue a career in accounting because he has always loved numbers, statistics, and being precise and accurate. Matt attributes his success in the field to hard work, dedication, and enjoyment of those with whom he works.
