David is a Senior Manager on the Specialty Tax team, where he specializes in all things sales tax. With a career spanning back to 2010, he has accumulated extensive experience in accounting and finance. Before joining Brady Martz in 2024, David dedicated 12 years to researching the application of sales tax in all states and audit defense.

While the Specialty Tax team specializes in sales tax compliance across all states and audit defense, David believes one of the most valuable services they provide is helping clients prepare for an audit before one ever begins. Sales tax audits resulting in assessments exceeding $100,000 are not uncommon, making it important for businesses to proactively review their processes, taxation, and recordkeeping. Investing time in getting these areas right can provide a much greater return than uncovering and defending issues under the pressure of a tight audit timeline.
