Nick Peterson

Raised in Moorhead, Minnesota, Nick currently lives in Fargo, North Dakota with his wife, Ashley, and their two children, Declan and Adelyn. He likes Fargo for the wonderful people. When he has time off from work, Nick prefers to “vacation at home,” spending as much time as possible with his family. His favorite hobby is music—he has been a professional musician since he was 18 years old. Nick also enjoys watching TV (he recently binged Fargo season three), reading (his favorite series is the Lord of the Rings trilogy), and cheering on his favorite teams, the Minnesota Vikings and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Fresh out of college, Nick spent his first year as a professional accountant working for Brady Martz before joining Fiebeiger, Swanson, West & Co. in 2009. After a decade with FSW, Nick returned to Brady Martz & Associates in 2019. He now serves the firm as a shareholder. Nick works primarily in audit and attestation, performing audits, reviews, and compilations of construction contractors, ESOP owned entities, other for-profit entities, and nonprofit organizations. He considers his specialty to be assisting in financial statement compliance for construction contractors.

Nick is an Eagle Scout, so it is no surprise that his personal philosophy of service is to “be prepared.” He applies the lessons he learned as a scout to his professional life, serving clients authentically and always holding himself accountable for his actions. Nick was inspired to pursue a career in accounting by his college advisor.
