Tim Stotz

Shareholder

Tim was first inspired to go into accounting because he enjoyed the variety of work, and in his 35-year career, he has covered a lot of ground. Starting in 1988 as a generalist doing audit and assurance, tax, and other compliance work, he obtained a certified valuation analyst (CVA) designation in 2003 and turned his focus to tax, valuation, and consulting services. Tim served as managing shareholder for the firm from 2002-2017.

Known for his persistence, Tim is a problem-solver who values listening first when building relationships with clients. He attributes his professional success to his strong work ethic and being fortunate to work with great people. Tim specializes in assisting business owners with tax planning and preparation, operational planning, valuation, and succession planning across various industries, including retail, manufacturing, construction, service, and agriculture. He has also served on the board of directors of First Savings Bank since 2013.

Tim loves to spend time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He and his wife, Lisa, make their home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and have a son, Derek, and daughter, Kelsey. Tim roots for the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoys listening to comedy and sports radio or podcasts. When he and his wife get the chance to travel, their favorite destination is the Gulf Coast.
