Brooks Binstock

Shareholder

Raised on a dairy farm in Regent, North Dakota, Brooks is one of 12 children in his family. He now lives in Grand Forks with his wife, Heather. Between the two of them, they raised 10 children throughout their lives. One of Brooks favorite pastimes is attending his kids’ sporting and other events. He also enjoys running, biking, kayaking, and rollerblading. When he has the opportunity to travel, Brooks’ favorite destination is “anywhere tropical.”

Brooks began his accounting career as a staff accountant with Drees, Riskey & Vallager Ltd. (DRV) in 1996, straight out of college. By the time DRV merged into Brady Martz in 2015, Brooks was a shareholder with the firm. He moved onto the Brady Martz team, maintaining the title shareholder, and currently serves as the firm’s agriculture industry lead and as the leader of the outsourced accounting service line at the firm’s Grand Forks office.

Dedication and a pleasant attitude are the two biggest traits that Brooks displays in his work. He is committed to being as helpful as possible. Growing up on a dairy farm helped to shape Brooks’ strong work ethic. He chose to channel his efforts into a career in accounting after early school courses sparked his interest in the field. He attributes his success in the field to a combination of hard work and commitment.
