Shawn lives his life by the quote, “God uses crooked sticks to draw straight lines.” Much as he knows there is a plan laid out for him, he helps his clients with their plans. He is a helpful, diligent professional that believes his unrelenting faith and integrity are what leads him to success. He’s always had a knack for accounting work – one of his professors in college noted how well he did in a course and told Shawn to consider an accounting degree.

As a Brady Martz shareholder, Shawn focuses in helping business owners build their wealth through his advisory, tax, and accounting expertise. His ultimate service philosophy is to help others reach their goals. His niche specialties include construction, retail, and nonprofit entities. With more than two decades of experience working as an accounting professional, Shawn brings valuable experience to every client engagement.

Shawn currently resides in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with his wife Lori and their children Tessa, Seth, and Roxy, along with their dog, Duke. He enjoys working in Sioux Falls because the city has wonderful people and has a very down to earth feel. In his free time, Shawn enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and spending time with his family.
